Stay tuned for details on our boarding facility.
Although, our focus had to take a redirection for the Harvey Dogs and events like the Solheim Cup and Ruff Ride we are still working hard at building our two new buildings and we are making progress.
Thank you to Mark O'Leary for giving a tour of the buildings and walking people through the details of what has been done so far and what is going to happen next. As the walls start to go up over the next few weeks, we will see the new AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport facility and Gracie's Place, our boarding facility take shape and become a reality.
We still need your help.
Our Capital Campaign is still on going if you, your business or a group you are associate with are able to donate, we have naming opportunities large and small. General donations are also welcome. DONATE HERE
Mark O'Leary is also looking for volunteers to be part of the transition team. This group will inventory our current physical assets and determine what still needs to be acquired. They will create the transition plan with Mark to move items into the new facilities in an organized and thoughtful manner and create the process and procedure to keep it organized. If you have an interest in assisting in these efforts sign up to volunteer HERE.
More updates to come soon.
Be part the process, donate to the capital campaign! Naming options available for your business, in memorial or represent your own fur babies and family.
One question that we frequently receive is "Where are the buildings going to be located". AHeinz57 has purchased 4 acres in De Soto. The property sits South of Tractor Supply, North of the De Soto water tower and East of Casey's and Kum & Go.
A lot has been happening since we broke ground last month!
Here is a complete run down of the current vendors that will be working with us on our project!
Carter Construction Group performed mining of our soil and Terracon tested the soil and determined that we have good soil at the back of the lots and we will not have to haul in good soil and limestone. Carter Construction Group has dug up the good soil and used it to replace the bad soil under the building pads and the parking lot. All of the ground has now been tore up and leveled. And Terracon confirmed that all percentages were met for the soil testing this week.
90% of the storm sewer has been installed. The sanitary sewer and the water has been brought from the street to each building.
McClure Engineering has surveyed the land three times to set the grade to allow all 4 ½ acres to drain into the retaining pond at the northeast corner of the property. They have also staked out both buildings and the parking lot.
Carrick Concrete has started putting down gravel were the concrete slabs for the buildings will be poured.
Over the coming weeks there will be even more progress being made.
It is an exciting time for AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and Transport.
Please help us meet our goals by donating.
Thank you from the entire AHeinz57 Team.
We are excited to keep you informed of our progress on the new facility
